Instrumental Music Program 2016

Notes for the music program will be going home shortly to students in Year 3-5. If you have a child currently in Year 2 that would like to be considered for a place next year, you will need to come and see Ms Draper as notes will not be handed to Year 2 students. Priority will firstly be given to existing students and then to new students in Yrs 4-6. Some tutors will not teach children under Year 4 due to size of the instruments. We do have a large number of Year 6 students leaving the school on flute, clarinet and saxophone so please consider one of those instruments next year.

It's that time of year again, Christmas is only a few weeks away. To help those less fortunate than us, each class at Orana is going to make two hampers to be given to those in need. Next week a note will come home listing items required to fill the hampers. We appreciate everyone's help in donating these items.

A SUPA (Scripture Union Primary Age) Club has been running at Rostrata Primary School (Willetton) for the last 4 years. This is a fantastic opportunity to share the Gospel with children from a government school. The Club had about 15 children, from PP-Year 5, attending each week. Many of these kids have come for several years. We have had to close the Club for term 4, due to a shortage of adult volunteers. We would like to restart the Club next year, probably on a Tuesday afternoon (during school term) from 3.00pm-4.15pm. Any help would be appreciated - even preparing the afternoon tea for the children on a fortnightly basis. No formal Scripture teaching experience is required- just a current working with children check. Thank you for considering this. Please contact Louise Lathbury on 0402 511 986 if you are able to help.
