CHRISTMAS FUNDRAISER

Good news. Orana Minnie Vinnies has had their first meeting and have come up with a Christmas fundraiser to help people in need. We're going to make Christmas hampers - but no ordinary hampers are going to be made in this School! We're going to make hampers that are colourful, thoughtful and hand picked by the children at Orana. Keep updated with this Christmas Appeal. Further information will be available in the coming weeks. Davina and Darcy on behalf of Orana Minnie Vinnies.

EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTRE

We have been notified of a number of accidents and incidents that have occurred in our Early Childhood play area. These accidents/incidents have taken place before and after school when the area is not supervised by school staff. Our staff members are also experiencing some difficulty in setting up specific learning equipment in the playground due to the number of children in the area at the times mentioned above. In order to facilitate safety for children and adults we ask that parents do not arrive in the centre before 8.40am and leave the area by 3.15pm. Children who are in Years One to Six should be left at their classrooms before parents come to the ECC as the Centre is for Pre-Primary, Kindy and Pre-Kindy children only. We look forward to your cooperation. Conny Whyte, Assistant Principal.

HOLY SPIRIT OF FREEDOM COMMUNITY

A Catholic Community which reaches out to people living on the streets of Perth - those who are trapped in the cycle of addictions or prostitution, those afflicted by mental illness and others who have no family support. Community members actively go out onto the streets at night with coffee, clothes and sleeping bags to spend time with those sleeping rough or who spend time on the streets through loneliness, but their main focus is to bring the love of Christ to those in our city who are the most vulnerable. On the weekend of 7 / 8 November a member of the Community will be speaking to the congregation at each of the Masses at Ss John & Paul Church Willetton. That is Saturday evening 6.30pm, Sunday morning at all three Masses 7.30am, 9.00am & 10.30am. Please come along to hear about their mission and how we can assist them both as individuals and as a Parish Community.
