Sacrament of Reconciliation

Children who receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Thursday 15 October are invited to attend either the 6.30pm Mass on Saturday 17 October or the 10.30am Mass on Sunday 18 October to receive their certificate. Please note that certificates will not be given out at School.

Following each of the Masses a celebratory cake will be shared in the Parish Centre.


New Band Members

Ms Draper will be sending band invites out to those students who tutors think are ready to be involved. Invites will go out this week and new band members can attend band from Week 2, Wednesday 21 October.

Choir Performance

Orana will be organising and providing the music for the Vigil Mass at Sts John Paul Parish on Saturday 7 November at 6.30pm. Ms Draper will be requiring choir members to lead the singing. A note will be going home this week so we would be very grateful, if you were available, to share your beautiful voices with the community for this Mass.

Performing Arts Festival Certificates

Due to the large number of students involved in the Performing Arts this year, Ms Draper is not copying all the Certificate of Merits or Honourable Mentions for band, choir, Yr 6 choral speech or ensemble members who received them. However, if you may like a copy of them please see Mrs Goodwin in the Office and she will make you a copy to keep.

Flute for sale

Australian Girls Choir

Perth Open Day on Sunday October 25. Now accepting enrolments for 2016 for girls aged 5-12. Information brochure is available from the front Office or Ms Draper.

Orana P&F Social

Not long to go until Slim Jim and the Phatts on Saturday 24th October in the Orana Hall.

Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased by returning the slip on the note, or emailing Limited tickets are available. We hope you can join us!

In conjunction with the Social Night we are running a raffle with great prizes from local businesses and families.

Tickets will be sent home later this week.

Entertainment Books

Thank you to everyone who has purchased memberships already. We have raised over $1300 for the School! There are only a few Entertainment Books available to purchase in the Office. Digital memberships can be purchased anytime using the following link.

Morning Tea

The P&F holds a morning tea at the beginning of every term after assembly. The invitation is extended to everyone, especially those new to the school. The date for this term is Friday 23 October. Please come along and join us if you are free.

Catholic Mission presents an afternoon of beautiful music. Jessica Gethin (violin), Sophie Curtis (cello) and Ray Walker (jazz guitar) will perform an original and exciting fusion of classical / jazz / popular chamber music in aid of Catholic Mission. Monies raised will support a girl child education project in Bangalore, India. Complementary afternoon tea. Adults: $25, Concessions: $15. Children are free if accompanied by an adult. The St Vincent de Paul Society of WA will be opening a new retail shop during November at Unit 10, 1808 Albany Highway Kenwick. The Shop will be open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday. We are looking for mums, dad, grandparents, etc. to volunteer anywhere from a few hours a week to full days. Volunteers will have the chance to do variety of jobs such as merchandising, working the cash register, cleaning, customer service, sorting and hanging clothing. All training will be provided.

It is a great opportunity to make new friends while supporting your local community.

We are also looking for quality donations of clothing and bric-a-brac to help fill this new shop and so if you have anything to donate please drop if off at the Vinnies shops located in Cannington, Armadale or Willetton and mark it "for Kenwick". Your donations will be greatly appreciated.
