Musical Instrument Returns

Students leaving Orana or not, continuing with their instrument in 2015 will need to return school instruments to Ms Draper during week 9. If you are continuing next year you can keep your instrument over the holidays so you can practice. If your instrument needs any repairs or servicing, please let Ms Draper know as soon as possible. If you are considering purchasing an instrument for your child please check with Ms Draper which brands are appropriate as there are many cheap, nasty instruments available online which are not suitable. Classical guitar students do require a particular type of guitar so please come and ask before you buy.

Classical Guitar Concert

The guitar concert will be tomorrow night, Thursday 27 November commencing at 6.30pm in the school hall. Anyone is invited to attend. If you are considering playing classical guitar next year, why not come and see what it's all about.

Choir Performance -Graduation Mass - Thursday 11 December

Thank you to those students who have indicated that they are available to sing at the graduation Mass. It will be the final performance for the school choirs and a lovely way to farewell the Year 6 students. Ms Draper needs all notes returned, even if you are unavailable. There are still 39 outstanding notes. Please return these as soon as possible.

Instrumental Music Programme 2015

Notes have been distributed to students in Years 3-5 this week for those interested in playing a musical instrument at Orana in 2015. Priority will be given to existing students and there will be a limited number of places for each instrument. Notes will not be distributed to current Year 2 students. If any current Year 2 students wish to be considered for an instrument next year then you will need to see Ms Draper to discuss, but priority will go to Yrs 4-6 students. Notes need to be returned to Ms Draper by Monday 8 December 2015.
