Performance for the City of Canning Schools Concert - Saturday 8 November at the Canning Town Hall - 12 noon.

The school band will no longer be attending this performance as a group as we are too big to fit into the venue. Instead we will be taking the wind players from the band that will perform as instrumental ensembles as well as a whole group. We will be performing between 12 noon and 12.20 pm. A note has been sent home to students involved. Please return your slip by this Friday, 17 October to Ms Draper.

ART FUNDRAISER - Greeting Cards, Calendars and more!

We are doing a fundraising campaign with Kids Card Designs. Your child has produced a fantastic piece of art, which will be sent home for you to see along with an order form. These will be sent home at the beginning of Week 3, on either Monday the 27th or Wednesday the 29th for Kindy students.

The artwork can be turned into a whole range of useful products including - iPhone cases, iPad, iPod and iPad Mini cases, a fabulous ready made Recipe book with your child's art or a family photo on the front cover of Greeting Cards, Calendars, write on/wipe off Magnetic fridge planners, handy sized Diaries and for you to order.

These fundraising products are unique, as they will feature artwork designed by your child or a family photo, and will provide a lasting memento for you to give as a gift or keep for yourselves.

Artwork and order forms will go home together, please return all orders, payments and artwork by the date outlined on the order form.

To place an order, please see the following:

  1. Please return the order form, art and payment together to your child's classroom.
  2. Please DO NOT fold or staple the artwork as this damages the artwork, which can affect final images.
  3. For families, please return all siblings artwork, orders and payments compiled together (please not stapled), handed in by one child.

Should you have order queries please contact: or 0435 240 270.

This is a healthy fundraising venture where kids get to use their creativity to raise funds for our school, and we encourage you to get on board.

Thank you for your support.

On behalf of all the staff at Orana OSHC we would like to give a big THANK YOU to all the children who came to us over the October Vac Care period. Once again the children were polite and well-mannered but also crazy and fun - just the way we like it here! On an even better note, we were able to raise a massive $410 on our carnival day we held and that is all going towards our ongoing goal to raise $1000 for Telethon. We realize this wouldn't be possible without the continuous support from our incredible parents to who we are truly appreciative.

Thanks again to all the families who have submitted order forms for our Tea Towel Fundraiser. Just a friendly reminder that we will no longer be taking orders after this Friday 17 October. You can pick up order forms from OSHC and return them to either the office or us. Thanks again.
