Band Rehearsals - Change of Day

Band rehearsal will take place on THURSDAY at 8am instead of Wednesday for Weeks 2 and 3. We have three performances this Term, so we will need full attendance please. Band members have received a schedule of rehearsals and performances for this Term.

Performing Arts Festival - Term 3

All students should have received their Performing Arts Festival dates and times. Parents are responsible for arranging to get students to solo and duet performances. The School will organise ensemble, band and choir transportation. Venue entry to all events is $4.00 per adult. If you have a number of events to attend it may be worth purchasing a season pass that will get you into all 2015 PAF events for $12.00 (Excluding Perth Convention Centre and the Perth Concert Hall).

SACRAMENTAL PROGRAM 2015 - Parish of Ss John & Paul Willetton

Sacrament of Confirmation

Parent/Child Workshops relating to the Sacrament of Confirmation will be held on Thursday, 6 August at the Parish Centre. 6B at 5.30pm and 6W at 7.00pm. All Year 6 children, plus at least one parent, are expected to attend the Workshop.


Thank you to those who sent in proposals for a Prayer Focus Area within the school grounds. A sub-committee of representatives of the School Board and the wider school community has met and discussed all the submissions. We are now at the stage where we require professional input from someone with an artistic background. We are looking for people with expertise in any form of artwork, mosaics, plaques, etc. If anyone in the school community knows anyone who could help us, please contact Mrs Lynda Packer via the School Office before Tuesday 11 August 2015 to enable us to commence work on this area.


Please come along and join us in prayer on a Monday morning from 9.00-9.30am in the Library. All are very welcome.


Orana is excited to be again taking part in the Woolworths Earn and Learn Program from 15 July 2015 to Tuesday 8 September 2015.

Let's see if we can exceed our previous highest result of 72,500 points. Students, you can help by asking your family and friends to collect vouchers for you when they shop at Woolworths. These can be redeemed for some awesome educational resources for our school.

Some resources that we have received in the past include the Skeleton in the Science Lab, Light Boxes for the Library, Mathematical Volume Kits for Years 5 and 6, Pattern Blocks and Puzzles for Pre-Primary, Dolls furniture for Pre-Kindy, Magnetic Fraction Tiles and Percentage Dominoes for Year 3 and a lot more.

For every $10 spent at Woolworths you will receive a Woolworths Earn & Learn Point. Pop them onto a Woolworths Earn & Learn Points Sheet, (we are sending one home with every student or download them from the website and once it is completed, just bring it back to school or drop it into the Collection Box at Woolies at Southland or Stockland Riverton.. The more we collect, the more we can redeem.

Discussion about the changing disability sector and NDIS/My Way,Down Syndrome WA is holding information forums for people with Down syndrome of any age, and their families, in the Perth Hills NDIS area (1 August) and the Cockburn - Kwinana NDIS MyWay area (8 August). The two-hour sessions will include:

  • Your experiences,
  • What information and support you need, and
  • We will talk about setting up a local peer support group for people with Down syndrome and their families in these areas.

2015/16 Season Registration now OPEN. The Club invites children from the ages of 6-17 yrs old, to register for the 2015/16 season in the In2Cricket, T20 Blast and traditional cricket programs, U10s - U17s.

When: Sunday, 2 August 2015 from 2.00pm - 4.00pm and Saturday 29 August 2015 from 1000am - 12 noon.
