Dear Parents

Open Night

We will again open the school tomorrow evening for families and friends to view the progress and learning taking place across the different year levels. This is a great opportunity and I encourage you all to take the time to visit the different classes beyond your own children's year levels during this time. The Out of School Hours Care Centre is open for visiting (up to 6.00pm only please) and our School Band will be performing in the undercover area from 5.15pm.

Thank you to the staff for the ongoing professionalism and work in presenting classrooms for general viewing.

Performing Arts Festival (Award Presentation)

At the conclusion of the Performing Arts Festival, a presentation evening and performance is conducted, this year at the Perth Convention Centre. On Monday night Orana was named as the inaugural recipients of the Zenith Commendation for Sustained Improvements in Primary Schools. Essentially, using data gathered over a five-year period (even data can play a part in the creative Arts), Orana was selected as the school which has shown the greatest improvement in terms of performances in the Festival based on the levels of participation and the number of Honourable Mentions received. This is a fantastic school achievement and I would like to thank the many who have supported the school's participation over the years, from children and parents through to staff and tutors. In particular, thank you is extended to Ms Whyte and Ms Draper as the primary driving forces behind the school's participation each and every year.

Performing Arts Festival (Honour Certificates)

At this Friday's whole school assembly those students who received an Honourable Mention for their performances in this year's Festival will receive their certificates in front of the whole school.
