Student Laptops

Just to advise that student machines from Year 4-6 are covered by warranty and any hardware issues (eg missing keys, charger problems, broken screens etc) can be solved at the Apple Store at Garden City. It is a much quicker process for repair than the school can initiate and it reduces the downtime of the laptop.

Cross Country Term 3

Our Orana In-House Cross Country Carnival will be held in Week 5 on Tuesday 8 August. This means it's time to start preparing yourself with motivation, determination and stamina!

To help our Year 3-6 students prepare for cross country, we will be running training sessions in the lead up to the event:

What: Cross Country Training / Running and Fitness Club

Please wear appropriate fitness clothing and bring a water bottle. Those who are normally in the PE uniform on any day may attend training and then stay in their PE clothes. Those who normally wear their school uniform on training days may wear any appropriate clothing for training and then must put their full school uniform on immediately after training in time for class at 8.50am. This includes proper school shoes.

Where: Orana Catholic Primary School Oval

When: Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 8.00am to 8.30am (Weeks 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8)

Who: Mrs Wesley and Miss Harrison, Year 3-6 students and another parent volunteers who could offer assistance on the occasional Thursday

Why: To increase fitness and coordination, have fun and learn new skills.

See you there!!

Know someone enquiring about the Catholic faith?

The Rite of Catholic Initiation for Adults (RCIA) prepares new members to join our Catholic faith; and helps baptised Catholics in renewing their faith. Faith development and growth is achieved in a friendly atmosphere through presentations, sharing and reflection. Under the guidance of our team and accompanied by friends (sponsors), the candidates took a spiritually enriched journey culminating in their reception into the Church on Easter Vigil night. RCIA for 2013/14 will commence Tuesday 30 July. The parish of Willetton invites all who are interested in the Catholic faith to an Information Evening on Tuesday 23 July at 7.30pm-9.00pm at the Parish Centre Large Meeting Room. If you or someone you know has expressed an interest in the Catholic faith, please come along. If you cannot join us on the Information Evening; or you would like to find out more about RCIA, please visit http://www.johnpaulwilletton.org.au/rcia.html.
