This Sunday we celebrate Ascension. The return to the Father is the final deed for Jesus the man. However it is good to remember that Jesus remains with us always. He promised us The Spirit and kept his promise. Let us pray for strength and wisdom in the daily lives of all in our community.

Heavenly Father we come to you in the greatness of your love and lift up our hearts in prayer and praise. We thank you that the way to your presence is always open through Jesus Christ and that you invite us to draw near in full assurance of faith. Help us to pray simply and sincerely, unselfishly and gratefully, remembering the needs of others as well as our own and giving thanks always in the name of Christ our Lord.

Dear Parents and Carers

We have had a great start to the term and we welcome Miss Samantha Spadaro who will be replacing Mrs Laila Di Lena who will be on Long Service Leave this term. Many thanks, to Mrs Woodgate and the staff involved in organizing our ANZAC Prayer service this week. This is to celebrate ANZAC Day, which occurred during the holidays. I feel that the students will receive much from the Service and also from remembering the efforts of those who have defended our country.

First Holy Communion Masses will be held on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 June. In preparing for this there will be a Communion workshop on Thursday 16 May at 5:30pm and 7:00pm at Ss John & Paul Church. If you require further information, please see Mrs Woodgate.

Our Year 6 students are currently on camp and thoroughly enjoying themselves. I would like to thank Miss Conny Whyte for attending the camp in my absence. A big thank you to the parent volunteers as the camp would not be able to go ahead without their help. This term our students are wearing their winter uniform. Please make sure that they are dressed correctly. Full winter uniform is to be worn from Monday 20 May. Our Year 3&5 students will be participating in NAPLAN testing next week. Please be aware that students can only participate in the testing during this week.
