Tomorrow is the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a solemnity. This Feast reminds us of the infinite love and mercy shown to each of us by God through His Son Jesus. What a great affirmation it is for us. Also it's an encouragement for us to endeavour to emulate this mercy towards others.

Dear Parents and Carers

On Wednesday our Year Four students attended a Holy Communion retreat day at our parish church. Thirty children from the parish joined with our students to learn more about this special Sacrament. Thank you to the adults who assisted in making this a reflective and prayerful experience for the students.

Sacramental Information

Please keep our Year Six students in your prayers as they prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Commitment Masses for this Sacrament will take place this weekend at Sts John & Paul Church.

Saturday 8 June 6.30pm

Sunday 9 June 9.00am & 10.30am

LifeLink Day

Lifelink day has been a great success with many students wearing free dress and handing in donations for the Archbishop's Lifelink Appeal. Envelopes may be handed in until the closing date, Friday 21 June.

Thank you for your generosity.

Prayer Assembly

This Friday our Year Three White students will lead the school prayer assembly. All families are welcome to attend. Junior honour awards will be announced after the prayer assembly.

Money Collection

When sending money to school with your child (e.g. Book Club money) please put the money in a sealed envelope. On the outside of the envelope record your child's name, the amount and what the money is for. This will enable staff members to easily recognise who should receive the money. Your cooperation would be greatly appreciated.

Sporting News

On Wednesday our senior students competed in an inter-school basketball carnival. It was a successful day for all students, who displayed good sportsmanship. Our girls' team won all six games and were awarded the girls' shield. Our boys' team was also successful, winning five games, with their sixth game a draw. They were equal winners with Queen of Apostles School. Congratulations to all students who participated. Thank you to Alison Pivac, Gary DeVries and all our parent helpers and supporters. Thank you also to Mr Rijs, who coordinated the day.
