Today notes about entering our football tipping competition have gone home. People who were already members will receive an envelope which contains a note seeking confirmation of re-entry. New tippers are invited to join by submitting the note that the eldest child brings home today. The cost of entry is $40 cash. Each weekly prize is $40 so many people win back their entry fee. Last year's First Prize handed out at the end-of-season was $1200. We are hoping to enrol at least 85 people to maintain these generous prizes. Any queries can be directed to Lyn Perrigo in the Library at the following email address:

We are looking forward to an amazing response. Friday 15 March is the deadline for entering our competition. All members must be financial by this date. There's lots of enrolling work to be done and that gives us a week before the season starts to get everything sorted.

Tuesday 8.15am Junior Choir (Yrs 2-3)

We are excited to advise that earlier this week Orana received a delivery of equipment as a result of staff, students and families participating in the Woolworths Earn and Learn Program. A huge thanks for your support.

We are sure a lot of excited Kindy and Pre Primary students will be having fun when they discover the new equipment. We are expecting some amazing creations with the Rolf Blocks.

Every Year level will benefit from the equipment selected. The resources provided to the Early Learning Years include Plastic Cookie Sandwich and Pizza Sets, Pattern Blocks, Natural Blocks, Rolf Blocks. We provided Kinex Kits, Money games and Mobillo for Yrs 1-3 and maths resources including weights and measurement equipment, geometric shape kits, thermometer, a magnetic clock and playing cards for Yrs 4-6.

The equipment also included a Skeleton for the Science Lab, a percussion set for Music and some additional equipment for the Out of School Hours Care Centre.

We are looking forward to participating again in 2013.

In the past, the hiring of white t-shirts for interschool events has been done through the front office. This, however, is no longer possible and has been taken over by the Uniform Shop. They have a limited number of white interschool polo sports shirts for hire. The hire fee will be $5, fully-refundable when the shirt is returned, laundered and clean. New shirts can also be purchased at a cost of $20. The Uniform Shop opening hours are Tuesdays & Thursdays from 8.30am - 10.30am.

If you would like your details to be added to the Year 3W contact list, please email

I am planning to distribute the list by next Thursday. Many thanks.
