Dear Parents and Carers

OSHC

Orana's Out of School Hours Centre will be closed on TUESDAY 2 APRIL. This is not a pupil free day, it is a public holiday for schools.

School Resumes

A reminder that school resumes after Easter on Wednesday 3 April.

Yr 5 & 6 Sports

Over the coming Friday afternoons, commencing Friday of next week, Years 5 and 6 will be involved in sports training sessions from approximately 1.30pm to 2.40pm on the school grounds, in preparation for our winter sports competition next term. We are still looking for some help with our netball teams, volleyball teams and soccer teams. Next term we will use some of these Friday afternoon sessions to play against other schools, finally culminating in an all-day interschool carnival on Tuesday 25 June. If you have something to offer any of these teams in the way of expertise or even just in a supervisory role, whether you're a 5/6 parent or not, your help would be much appreciated. Thank you to the parents who have already volunteered their time.

Swimming Training

Our inter-school swimming squad has been working hard at their early morning training sessions. Relay training will begin next Thursday and it would be beneficial for all 33 members of the team to attend the morning sessions at the Riverton Leisureplex.

Holy Week

Thank you to those classes who today led the school in the re-enactments for Holy Week. The children were very respectful and helped to bring to life the story of Jesus' last week on Earth.

Thanks also to the children who so beautifully re-enacted the Stations of the Cross for the parishioners of Saints John and Paul Parish last Friday night. A lot of positive feedback has been received regarding your sense of reverence. Well done!

On behalf of all of the staff at Orana we would like to wish you all a safe and holy Easter. May the Peace and Joy of the Risen Lord be with each of you and your loved ones this Easter.
