LIBRARY NOTICES

As the end of year draws near, I would like to advise parents that all Library Books are due back on Wednesday, 5 December. Please help us by rounding up your child's books, popping them into their Library Bags and reminding your children to visit the Library by next Wednesday. Thank you for your assistance.

Final Instrumental Lessons

Next week (Week 8) will be the final week that tutors will be coming in for instrumental lessons. A big thank you to our great instrumental teachers who do a wonderful job over the year with our students at Orana.

Return of School Musical Instruments

School instruments only need to be returned to Mrs Draper if:

  1. You are leaving the school.
  2. You are no longer continuing on your instrument next year.
  3. Your instrument requires some maintenance work.

If you are continuing on the same instrument next year you need to keep your instrument over the holidays so you can do lots of practice.

Instruments that are being returned can be delivered to the music room at the conclusion of your last lesson or band rehearsal.

Instrumental Music Program 2013

Notes have started to be distributed to students in Years 3-5 who are interested in learning a musical instrument next year. Current students wishing to continue also need to return a permission slip. Please return this to Mrs Draper or the Front Office no later than 7 December to be considered for a place next year. Please be mindful of the expected commitment required before accepting a place in the Music Program. It is expected that students have the time to commit to home practice at least 4 times a week to make satisfactory progress. Please note the additional information in regard to guitar tuition that is offered at school. The instrumental note refers to Acoustic Guitar. Mrs Alexander teaches Classical Guitar whilst Mr Kutolowski offers lessons in Bass Guitar or Electric Guitar for children not wishing to learn Classical Guitar.
