Much to the delight of the Orana community and its neighbours, The Torch Bearer was escorted, by an official bus and police, into the front carpark of Orana Catholic Primary School.

Despite it being school holidays, a large crowd had gathered to witness this extraordinary event first-hand. After some formalities, the Torch was handed to a new runner and it began its journey into the City of Perth. The following day, the Olympic cavalcade headed east on its way to Sydney for the big event. We can only assume that people at each destination thoroughly enjoyed the unique and memorable experience as much as we did.
