This term the Overmars family took 'learning on the road' when they decided to circumnavigate Australia by highway, road and dusty track. Jesse from 2W and Kieran from 4W have sent this summary of their awesome holiday. Here are some of their many highlights so far:

Driving by ferry across the Daintree River and walking through the rain forest, Kakadu by Night tour (played the didgeridoo, ate kangaroo meat and went croc spotting in the dark), catching stingray, squid & fish with our fishing rods, camel riding, Mindel Beach Markets, Jumping Crocodile tour (we got so close to a jumping croc we could have touched his nose), Barramundi feeding, learning about warcraft at the Aviation Museum, holding snakes around our necks, swimming in water falls and hot springs, hand feeding dolphins at Monkey Mia, visiting the Darwin Museum and learning about Cyclone Tracey, making camp fires and toasting marsh mellows, hearing and seeing flying fox in the trees at night, observing the Milky Way (not the chocolate bar), holding toads and toad racing and spending time at Nine Mile Beach. We have learnt so much and are really enjoying our holiday (but we are missing our friends at Orana)!
