You are warmly invited to participate in the Sts John and Paul Parish Feast Celebration which will see the return of the MINISTRY FAIR after all Masses on the weekend of 29 & 30 JUNE. This is an opportunity for all Parish Ministries to showcase their talent gathered under one roof and to engender connections between Ministries acknowledging that "all the members, though many, are one." This is also an acknowledgement of the creative talents, the commitment and the inspirational ideas that are evident in our unique and vibrant Parish family.

The feasts of our patron saints St John and St Paul will also be commemorated across the Mass liturgies and in the display of the Parish banners. Hospitality will be on offer with sausage sizzles, savouries and sweets. Bringing a plate to share will be much appreciated.

Two very diverse talks will be presented in the parish around this time and the details are as follows:

"The Second Vatican Council was a time of a grace and renewal for the Catholic Church. Parishes and dioceses all over the world will 'celebrate' VATICAN II in light of the 50th anniversary of the Council."

Presenter: Dr Robert Williams shares his personal experience

"In 2013 there is still stigma associated to mental health problems such as depression, anxiety disorder, psychosis and substance abuse. One in five Australians aged 16-85 suffer from some form of these common mental illnesses in any year. It is time to break down the stigma creating a mentally healthy community that supports recovery and reduces discrimination.

Stigma contributes to loneliness, distress and discrimination against people with mental illness and their families and carers. Reducing mental health stigma and discrimination is everybody's business."
