Term 4 is such a busy time. There have been excursions with the beautiful weather around us. The Year 4's went tree planting along the Canning River. Our athletes have competed at the Interschool Carnival. We have remembered our fallen at a beautiful Remembrance Day ceremony. Mr Barns asked our children to learn to become peacemakers as he explained war and remembrance to his young audience. We have had our Athletics carnival with everyone involved including our parents. Fifteen new members have entered the School Band and are learning instruments for the first time. We are teaching our students the value of giving back with the recent launch of our Mini Vinnies group which is based on the ideals of the St Vincent de Paul Society. A coding club has been formed through the interest and passion of some of our Year 5 students. Meanwhile swimming lessons have begun and our Year 1's are experiencing their first taste of this Aussie school tradition. The students from Year 2-6 are learning about First Aid; the Year 4's have undertaken a Frog project and our Year 5's are growing vegetables and learning lots about waste management.
